Alexandria Egypt
I arrived Cairo, Egypt 2 days ago. Was being detained in the airport because my photo in the passport looks so different than the real me. None of the officers wanted to stamp my passport, they were afraid. They took me to all the officers in the airport, try to see and check me from head to toe, still they told me i am not the one in the picture. It was a 4 years old pic, i lost lot of weight, moreover i am with the glasses and spiky hair now. After being there for 45 minutes, i suggested to call the Embassy to clarify, then this young officer was kind enough to have my passpot stamped with a big smile " welcome to Egypt". Lucky me?
I spent a night in Cairo and took a train to Alexandria the next day. I am writing this entry in the Library of the Alexandria now. Am impressed with the architecture and the concept of this library. This huge library costs USD230 million which took 5 years to complete. It is the biggest open area library in the world with the 11 floors amazing view. There is this express book machine which can print a book digitally just in minutes, there are only 2 express book machines in the world, another one is in Washington DC. Some facts about the Library:
